Mini-bar presentation

􀃆 With 138 different mini-bar models (ranging from 20 to 75 liters) and 10 types of dry
sections (top/ side/ external/ e-basket) the Bartech system will fit perfectly into any hotel’s
design.
􀃆 The Bartech Open Display allows for a flexible choice of product, i.e. large and small bottles,
cans and miniatures. The hotel can also extend their selection to dry products such as, snacks
and sweets.
􀃆 Bartech’s attractive Open Display encourages impulse sales. The hotel can set up a
temporization period of up to 60 seconds which allows the guest to momentarily pick up
products and then replace them without being charged.

Front office

􀃆 The mini-bars are locked and unlocked from the reception desk at check-in and check-out
time.
􀃆 Front office has the facility to leave the mini-bars locked for crews or groups with no credit.
􀃆 the automatic charging provided by the Bartech. Pop-up screen available to verify product
charge status at checkout.

Reduced labour costs with efficient refill procedures

􀃆No need to visit every occupied room to carry out the refills. Mini-bar attendants will benefit
from daily refill reports indicating which rooms to visit and the status of each product; whether
they are charged, replaced or momentarily picked up. This allows the hotel to get a complete
overview of the movements in the mini-bar and also to see what products have been tampered
with.
􀃆A refill remote control is given to each mini-bar attendant in order to carry out the refills.
The mini-bars do not need to be unlocked from the front desk or the main server to allow
access for refilling.
􀃆 Only one mini-bar attendant is required for up to 400 bedrooms with the Bartech system
compared to one mini-bar attendant for 100 bedrooms with a manual system.

Monitor your mini-bar operation

􀃆 In order to improve the efficiency and increase the control of your mini-bar operation, each
Refill Remote Control is coded and could be assigned to a dedicated mini-bar attendant.
􀃆 This remote control allows you to:
􀁹 Control the expiry date of the product:
Bartech's Expiry Date Control function increases efficiency as it allows the hotel to check
product rotation in the mini-bars and to avoid expired products in the rooms, ensuring product
quality and guest satisfaction at all times.
􀁹 Follow the daily refill procedures:
The daily analysis of the Refill Report tells you who carried out the refill, how long it took, if it
was done properly and the last time each mini-bar was cleaned and by whom.

Improve your sales

􀃆Our software has the facility to print daily, monthly and period reports of your sales analysis
per product or family of products (i.e. soft drinks, spirits, crisps and sweets)
􀃆 Increase impulse sales by using the different grids to test new products in assigned rooms
(five grids possible for one mini-bar model). Offer different types of products depending on
type of room; i.e. Standard, Executive or Suites
􀃆 Offer In-room promotions via your Pay TV System. The Bartech software can send
information to the TV screen while guests are watching a Pay Movie.
Set up in-room Happy Hour promotions advertised on the TV screen, such as, half price drinks
on the first day and a free bottle of water on the second day. These promotions can be done by
individual rooms, group of rooms or type of rooms.
􀃆 Save money and offer quality service to your guests with the Expiry Date Control: the
Expiry Date Control function provides you with the sell by date for each item in all mini-bars.
􀃆 Control your mini-bar stock with the Trolley Management Report, which automatically
calculates the stock required in order for the mini-bar attendants to carry out the refill
procedure. The Stock Report function gives you information about current stock in each room
at any time.

Easy Maintenance

􀃆The Analysis Fault of Mini-bars Report, at the disposal of the hotel maintenance department
at any time, provides information about all the faults for each mini-bar.
􀃆Main electronic board at the top of the mini-bar is easily accessible and does not require
removing the mini-bar from the cabinet when cleaning the units.
􀃆Benefit from Computerised Energy Saving System (CESS). The Bartech system
automatically monitors the cooling process by scheduling maximum production at non-peak
hours and lower cooling in vacant rooms, reducing overall energy costs.
􀃆Three types of cooling units: Absorption / Compressor / Thermoelectric. We recommend the
compressor cooling unit because:
Bartech’s silent compressor cooling system will increase energy savings substantially and is an
alternative to the liability risks of an ammonia system in the rooms (our compressor system
has a noise level of 24D). 70% of our mini-bars sold in the last 3 years were fitted with a silent
compressor cooling unit. Guests can switch off the compressor themselves, should they wish to,
by pressing a button on the mini-bar, the compressors will automatically start again at the
beginning of the next cooling cycle. Each cooling unit of the Bartech system is connected to the
central unit and the maintenance and defrost modes can be managed directly from the
software. Our software has a facility that allows the hotel to run the compressor cooling unit
during the day or at night.

Consumption per type of cooling unit:

- Compressor: 0.4 Kw per 24 hours.
- Absorption: 0.8 to 1 Kw per 24 hours.
